The Wall Street Journal reports that “Kagan’s Goldman Ties Won’t Hurt Supreme Court Chances, White House Says.”

The New York Post contains an article headlined “Supremely likely: O expected to nominate his top lawyer.”

Reuters reports that “Obama Court pick imminent, Kagan called favorite.”

Gallup has issued a news release headlined “No Mandate for Protestant Justice; 42% Want Conservative Pick; Americans also give no strong mandate for a female, Hispanic, or black justice.”

And in the May 17, 2010 issue of Newsweek, Dahlia Lithwick will have an essay entitled “The Limits of Influence: No way to pick a justice.”

“No blanket right for press to protect sources, Supreme Court says; Canada’s highest court slams door on effort by media to broaden its rights to protect confidential sources”: Kirk Makin has this article today in The Toronto Globe and Mail. The newspaper also contains an editorial entitled “The right to tell untold stories: The Supreme Court has issued strong, clear statements of respect for confidential sources; Judges have been warned, in effect, not to look down their noses at protection of sources.”

Today’s edition of The New York Times reports that “Top Court in Canada Limits Media on Sources.”

The National Post reports that “Court limits media; Journalists do not have ‘blanket right’ to protect confidential sources.”
