“Omar Khadr defense attorney being airlifted from Guantanamo”: Carol Rosenberg of The Miami Herald has a news update that begins, “The military was evacuating Omar Khadr’s lone defense attorney from this remote Navy base for medical treatment on U.S. soil Friday, indefinitely delaying the first full war crimes trial of the Obama administration.”

Today’s edition of The Toronto Globe and Mail contains an article headlined “Khadr jury to decide: jihadist or scared teen; Two versions of events emerge before Canadian’s lawyer collapses, pausing trial.”

Today in The Wall Street Journal, Jess Bravin reports that “Gitmo Trial Revisits Days Following Capture.”

The Toronto Star reports that “Omar Khadr’s lawyer collapses in court; Military attorney, who had gall bladder surgery six weeks ago, taken by ambulance to hospital.”

And The Toronto Sun contains articles headlined “Khadr’s lawyer hospitalized, trial delayed” and “Widow of dead U.S. soldier emotional at Khadr’s trial.”

“Feds pound at Turner, pointing out email to U.S. marshal that suggests violence”: Today’s edition of The Jersey Journal contains an article that begins, “North Bergen blogger and Internet shock jock Hal Turner took the witness stand for a second straight day today during his third trial on federal charges that comments he posted on his blog in June 2009 amounted to an incitement to kill three federal judges in retribution for their ruling in a federal gun law case.”

And New York Law Journal reports that “Case of Blogger Accused of Threatening Judges Is Expected to Go to Jury Soon.”
