Yesterday was quite a busy opinion hand-down day for the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania: Yesterday, Pennsylvania’s highest court issued a total of 18 rulings in cases that had previously been accepted for review on the merits. You can access the rulings via that court’s Twitter feed.

By my calculation, one decision issued yesterday had been pending for decision over three years since it was first argued or submitted, three other cases were pending over two years since they were first argued or submitted, and another seven cases were pending over one year since they were first argued or submitted.
