The New York Sun reports today that “Bush Ignites Political Fray By Tapping Alito For Court.” And Josh Gerstein has an article headlined “Is He a Scalia?” in which I am quoted.

The Trenton Times reports that “Mom, neighbors all love Sam.” And in related coverage, “Nominee evokes sense of deja vu.”

The Philadelphia Inquirer contains profiles headlined “Cautious jurist: Trenton native’s record indicates he’s not an activist” and “His ascent is no surprise to those who know him.” Political analyst Dick Polman reports that “Bush turns to his traditional base; The President, in political trouble, could not afford to alienate conservatives again.” L.
