“O’Connor is installed as chancellor of W&M”: The Richmond Times-Dispatch today contains an article that begins, “Sandra Day O’Connor admitted being a little uncomfortable in the flashy green-and-gold robes she wore yesterday as the College of William and Mary’s new chancellor.” And a related article reports that “O’Connor disappointed she wasn’t replaced by a woman.”

In other coverage, The Daily Press of Hampton Roads, Virginia reports today that “Honorable duo lifts seasoned reins; Pomp and circumstance reign on campus as Gene Nichol and Sandra Day O’Connor are confirmed.”
