Caroline O’Donovan, Karin Brulliard, and Mark Berman of The Washington Post reports that “Judge says Trump acted illegally in dispatching National Guard in California; The state claimed the president improperly deployed the Guard and Marines to Los Angeles without the governor’s consent or input amid immigration protests.”

Michael Wilner, Laura J. Nelson, and Queenie Wong of The Los Angeles Times reports that “National Guard troops will stay under Trump’s control, for now, under 9th Circuit order.”
