“Top Republicans in Pa. House, Senate submit congressional map to Gov. Wolf”: In today’s edition of The Philadelphia Inquirer, Liz Navratil has a front page article that begins, “Facing a deadline imposed by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the legislature’s two top Republicans late Friday submitted to the governor a new statewide map of congressional districts to replace boundaries the justices ruled were unconstitutional.”

Charles Thompson of The Patriot-News of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania reports that “Pa. legislative leaders submit proposed Congressional map to Gov. Tom Wolf, Supreme Court.”

In today’s edition of The Morning Call of Allentown, Pennsylvania, Steve Esack and Laura Olson have a front page article headlined “GOP lawmakers release proposed new congressional map.”

Scott Calvert and Brent Kendall of The Wall Street Journal report that “Pennsylvania GOP Lawmakers Submit New Map in Gerrymandering Case; State’s Supreme Court had overturned current congressional districts as unfair to Democrats.”

Mark Scolforo and Marc Levy of The Associated Press reports that “Democrats see partisanship in GOP Pennsylvania district map.”

And Joseph Ax of Reuters reports that “Republican Pennsylvania leaders submit plan for redrawing congressional map.”

“Supreme Court backs CBC against bid to ‘unpublish’ internet story”: Sean Fine of The Toronto Globe and Mail has an article that begins, “The Supreme Court has refused to order the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. to remove a story from its website after the public broadcaster was charged with criminal contempt of court for refusing to do so.”

Jim Bronskill of The Canadian Press reports that “Supreme Court sides with CBC in publication ban case over archived stories on murdered Alberta girl.”

And Kathleen Harris of CBC News reports that “Supreme Court rules in favour of CBC in publication ban case; Case stems from court order to ‘unpublish’ material online after publication ban issued.”
