“Rebecca Bradley, JoAnne Kloppenburg clash again during debate; Supreme Court foes discuss ethics, Bradley’s controversial writings”: Patrick Marley of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has an article that begins, “State Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Bradley and her opponent, JoAnne Kloppenburg, clashed during a debate Friday over how to handle cases, ethics rules for judges and Bradley’s writings from 24 years ago that called abortion ‘murder’ and used a derogatory term for gays.”

“Pa. Justice Dougherty treated for possible concussion after attack near City Hall”: In today’s edition of The Philadelphia Inquirer, Brian X. McCrone and Julie Shaw have an article that begins, “Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Kevin Dougherty was attacked by a panhandler Friday evening in Center City as he left a restaurant with his family, police and a source close to the family said. The attack, about 6 p.m. near 15th and Market Streets, was described by a police official and the source as random and unprovoked.”

Today, Justine McDaniel and Julie Shaw of The Philadelphia Inquirer have a news update headlined “Mother of alleged Dougherty assailant: ‘He begs for help.’

In other coverage, Rebecca Jones of The Patriot-News of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania reports that “State Supreme Court justice hospitalized after assault in Philadelphia.”

And The Associated Press reports that “Judge walking toward City Hall hit in face, goes to hospital.”
