Greetings from New Orleans: It’s great to be here, as always. In news of local interest, Mark Schleifstein of The Times-Picayune has a news update headlined “Judge: Corps’ MR-GO ‘took’ value of properties in St. Bernard, Lower 9th Ward.”

And The Associated Press has a report headlined “Judge: US government liable for some Katrina flooding.”

You can access today’s ruling of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims — the very same court on which Ninth Circuit Judge Alex Kozinski entered the judiciary as a non-Article III federal judge — at this link.

Programming note: This afternoon, I will be in transit to the location of my next speaking event — mentioned in this recent earlier post — scheduled for next Tuesday morning.

My last visit there was in March 2009, and I had a very enjoyable time, as reflected in posts that you can access here, here, and here.

Additional posts will appear here this evening, although in the interim updates may appear on this blog’s Twitter feed.
