“U.S. appeals court strikes Florida law barring credit card surcharges”: Jim Saunders of the News Service of Florida has an article that begins, “Pointing to the First Amendment, a federal appeals court has struck down a Florida law that bars businesses from imposing a ‘surcharge’ on customers who pay with credit cards.”

You can access yesterday’s ruling of a divided three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit — in which a senior judge sitting by designation from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit provided the deciding vote — at this link.
