“Thomas found guilty of lying in BALCO probe”: Today in The San Francisco Chronicle, Lance Williams has an article that begins, “In a case that could prefigure the upcoming trial of ex-Giants slugger Barry Bonds, a former bicycle racing champion caught up in the BALCO steroid scandal was found guilty in San Francisco on Friday of lying to a federal grand jury about her use of banned drugs.” In addition, columnist Gwen Knapp has an op-ed entitled “Bonds needn’t worry too much about cyclist’s conviction.”
