Majority on divided three-judge Eighth Circuit panel adopts majority view on proximate cause requirement for child pornography-related federal court restitution awards: You can access today’s ruling of a divided three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit at this link.

The dissenter, Circuit Judge Bobby E. Shepherd, voted in favor of adopting the view of the en banc Fifth Circuit majority, which held each defendant individually liable for the full amount of the victim’s damages.
