Last year, The Boston Globe published a profile of the judge headlined “Unprecedented: First black, female judge on federal bench in Mass. is committed to helping others.”

The Boston Herald has a news update headlined “New judge named to head ‘Whitey’ Bulger case.”

And The Associated Press reports that “New judge named for former Mass. mobster’s trial.”

“City appeals ruling in disclosure lawsuit to state Supreme Court”: Today’s edition of The Billings Gazette contains an article that begins, “The city of Billings filed an appeal with the Montana Supreme Court on Thursday, asking it to overturn a district judge’s order to release the names of five city workers disciplined for viewing pornography at work.”

The newspaper has posted at this link the Brief for Appellant that the City of Billings filed yesterday in the Supreme Court of Montana.
