“EWTN disappointed but hopeful after latest HHS mandate ruling”: Catholic News Agency has a report that begins, “In a 2-1 decision delivered Feb. 18, a federal court ruled against the Eternal Word Television Network in its challenge to the federal contraception mandate.”

You can access today’s 148-page ruling of a divided three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit at this link.

Circuit Judge Jill A. Pryor wrote the opinion of the court, in which Circuit Judge R. Lanier Anderson joined. Judge Anderson also issued a short concurring opinion. Circuit Judge Gerald Bard Tjoflat issued a dissenting opinion, which concludes (caps in original) “Respectfully, I DISSENT.”
