Missing Linda Greenhouse: A brief for appellants and joint appendix I had due today at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit — combined with my having been away from my office attending the 2016 Appellate Judges Institute Summit for the previous four days — caused me to have to miss attending a program that the Third Circuit hosted today at the National Constitution Center at which Linda Greenhouse was the luncheon keynote speaker.
Speaking of the 2016 AJEI Summit, Ed Whelan continues a discussion from his panel in two posts (here and here) at National Review’s “Bench Memos” blog. For those who missed it, you can access a few tweets (here, here, and here) about the most exciting part of that panel’s presentation. Amy Howe of “SCOTUSblog” had the pleasure of moderating the only panel at this year’s Summit that had a reasonable prospect of erupting into fisticuffs.
And The Associated Press is still a little unhappy that it wasn’t able to cover Justice Elena Kagan’s remarks at the AJEI Summit. At least various law bloggers, including yours truly, were there to tweet about it.
