Programming note: On Wednesday, I will be arguing an appeal before a three-judge panel of the Pa. Superior Court on behalf of the plaintiffs-appellees in a case that has previously received news coverage (see here and here).

“Federal judge pauses Missouri’s 8-week abortion ban; leaves other prohibitions intact”: Crystal Thomas of The Kansas City Stat has this report.

Summer Ballentine and Margaret Stafford of The Associated Press report that “Federal judge blocks Missouri’s 8-week abortion ban.”

And Zoe Tillman of BuzzFeed News reports that “A Judge Blocked Missouri’s 8-Week Abortion Ban A Day Before It Was Going To Take Effect.”

“Federal Judge Christopher Droney to leave U.S. Circuit Court for position with Hartford law firm”: Edmund H. Mahony of The Hartford Courant has an article that begins, “Federal appeals court Judge Christopher Droney plans to leave the court in January and will take a position with the state’s biggest law firm, Hartford-based Day Pitney.”

“Federal judge dismisses Sensabaugh lawsuit against Washington County Schools, Halliburton”: Last November, Zach Vance of the Johnson City (Tenn.) Press had an article that begins, “A federal judge has determined the free-speech rights of former David Crockett football coach Gerald Sensabaugh were not violated when Washington County Schools director Kimber Halliburton reprimanded him last fall and ultimately fired him in March.”

Today, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit issued this decision affirming the district court’s judgment.
