“The judges of the Eighth Circuit courts invite you to join them October 27-29, 2021, at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado for the Judicial Conference. This is a full conference for all judges and members of the Bar.” The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit has posted this announcement online, advising that its judicial conference will be occurring this year in the Tenth Circuit. No word yet on whether the Tenth Circuit will return the favor by holding its next judicial conference in the Eighth Circuit.

The announcement goes on to state, “We are very pleased that the Honorable Brett M. Kavanaugh, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, will be our esteemed guest and conference speaker at the conference luncheon on Thursday, October 28.”

You can register to attend the conference via this link. Some 15 years ago, I had the pleasure of being a speaker at the Eighth Circuit’s judicial conference, and it was quite an enjoyable event.

From Colorado Springs, it will only be a 13-hour trek by car to attend the 2021 Appellate Judges Education Institute Summit two weeks later (November 11th to the 14th) in Austin, Texas.
