Christine Vendel of The Patriot-News of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania reports that “Pa. Supreme Court Chief justice Max Baer dies at 74.”

And Max Mitchell of The Legal Intelligencer reports that “Pa. Supreme Court Chief Justice Max Baer Dies; A cause of death was not immediately known for the 74-year-old who took over the court’s helm last year.”

Today, the Unified Judicial System of Pennsylvania issued a news release titled “Pennsylvania Supreme Court Announces Passing of Chief Justice Max Baer.”
