“Police: Idaho Falls federal judge knocked off man’s glasses, hurled them across parking lot and stomped on them during confrontation.” Jimmy Hancock of The Idaho State Journal has an article that begins, “U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Ryan Douglas Nelson faces two criminal charges after police say he battered a man by swiping the glasses from his face, tossing them across an asphalt lot and stomping on them during an April confrontation over a parking space in Idaho Falls.”

The Idaho State Journal has also posted “Judge Ryan D. Nelson confrontation video.”

Jacqueline Thomsen and Suzanne Monyak of Bloomberg Law report that “Ninth Circuit Judge Nelson Charged With Misdemeanor Battery.”
